We are pleased to announce another successful outcome for one of our clients, who we recently secured a significant settlement for, following an accident at work.
Our client, who was a service engineer, suffered a serious crush injury to his foot whilst he was moving a 200-litre drum on a trolley from the back of his van when servicing a dishwasher. The catch on the trolley gave way and the drum dropped onto our client’s foot.
The insurers for the employer admitted liability and made two offers of settlement. We advised our client to reject both offers as they were too low given the extent of his injuries.
We gathered the client’s medical evidence and thanks to the hard work of our personal injury specialists, the client received a settlement of £35,000.00 to cover pain and suffering, past lost wages and care, and future losses. We managed to settle the case for more than double the amount that the insurers had first offered.
